WWE is looking to bring back Bronson Reed as a significant main event level heel. While his return is not imminent, sources indicate it will happen ‘before long’. Reed's recovery from an earlier injury appears to be progressing well, and he is expected to elevate his position within the roster upon his return. WWE officials are particularly excited about a potential program with Oba Femi later this year, aiming to capitalize on Reed's skills as a superheavyweight.

WrestleVotes Radio came our way today (Aug. 20) via Fightful Select, and brought word that while Reed’s return isn’t “necessarily days away”, it’s expected he’ll “be back before long.” This per a Votes source “inside the company’s promotional merchandising department”, who tells them that “Reed is set to return as a key main event level heel, with the intention being for him to keep elevating up the card once he’s back.” That’s welcome news for those of us believing the 37-year-old Australian can be WWE’s next great superheavyweight, although it does mean that Reed will play the role WWE’s “key main event level heels” often do. Votes source tells us that WWE’s “earmarked” Big Bronson’s return for “a number of months”, and one of the things company officials are most excited about is “the potential for a program with Oba Femi later this year.” Femi vs. Reed will rule, and shake the heavens. But I know who I’m picking to stand tall at the end of that program. Nevertheless, I’m definitely hoping what WrestleVotes is hearing is true. How about you?
