Raw airs tonight (Aug. 24) with a live show emanating from Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This is the fourth episode of Raw during the nine week build to Money in the Bank, which takes place on October 10. Tonight’s Raw has a special start time of 6 pm ET. Oba Femi isn’t really the future of WWE WWE has a big box office match coming up on September 6 when Oba Femi goes one-on-one with World Tag Team Champion Bron Breakker at Saturday Sunday Night’s Main Event. The contract signing to make the match official takes place tonight on Raw. WWE is building the match up as a way to determine which one of these stars is really the future face of the company. Bron used to be seen as that guy as recently as eight months ago, but he has been plagued by bad booking and The Visions’ poor luck with injuries in 2026. Oba has quickly surpassed him and is now being called The Next Big Thing in WWE after kicking Brock Lesnar’s ass twice and sending him into retirement. During tonight’s contract signing, instead of moping around looking for Paul Heyman’s approval, Breakker needs to get on the mic and explain why Oba Femi isn’t actually the future face of WWE, even though most of the evidence says otherwise. If Bron doesn’t have the right words to convey that message, then he has to deliver it with violence. Could that include the surprise return of Bronson Reed tonight? The rumor mill says Bron’s stablemate in the Vision could be on his way back to WWE soon with a big push, and the man himself made sure to let everyone know he was at WWE headquarters last week. If Bron Breakker wants to humble Oba Femi tonight and create some doubt about his status as the future of WWE, one way to do so might be for Reed to join in the fun and smash Oba with several Tsunami splashes until he understands that Bron and Bronson are really the future of the company. Does Bron Breakker (and the Vision) have a scheme in mind to bring the pain to Oba Femi during tonight’s contract signing, or will he save it for the actual match at Sunday Night’s Main Event? Has Paul Heyman secretly been in cahoots with one of these stars the whole time? Hopefully we’ll get some answers during tonight’s contract signing on Raw. The rest of the card Stephanie Vaquer returns to the ring tonight for a singles match against Roxanne Perez. Well, it’s supposed to be a singles match, but the numbers game of the Judgment Day usually ensures it won’t be a fair fight. Will Becky Lynch be on hand to wipe out any potential interference from Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez so there’s nothing that can stop Vaquer from winning her first match in WWE since WrestleMania 42? The tournament to determine which luchador loses against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns next month in Mexico City continues tonight. The two tournament matches on the slate are Penta vs. La Parka and Rey Fenix vs. Dragon Lee. Penta is a lock to win his bout. Can Dragon Lee play spoiler in the other one to prevent the Lucha Bros from fighting against each other in the final round? Other stuff to keep an eye on – Last week’s Raw ended with a hell of an angle where Solo Sikoa and LA Knight joined forces to beat the shit out of The Bloodline, after Solo duped Roman Reigns and the Usos. Will the OTC try to punish Jacob Fatu for standing in the corner of the ring and doing nothing after Solo swerved The Bloodline? Can Solo and LA find another way to get the jump on Roman and his generals now that Sikoa can’t pretend to reunite with them any more? – Big Cass is back in WWE and really good at shoving his big boot down Je’Von Evans’ throat. Can the Young OG outmaneuver Big tonight and give Raw GM Adam Pearce a reason to book them in a match against each other? – World Tag Team Champion Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri are still trash talking Otis and Akira Tozawa. I don’t really know if this is leading to anything, but the lack of interesting tag teams on Raw sure does stand out. Can Rusev and Ethan Page do something to change that? – After beating high fashion hobo Lyra Valkyria last week, is Sol Ruca in line for a rematch against Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez? Is Lyra going to snap after taking the loss? – WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio put over Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable last week on Raw. Is there any heel willing to step up to confront Gable next? Was that little shithead Dominik Mysterio disgusted by Chad’s show of respect for Rey after the match? – Raw has an early start time tonight because this week’s episode of SmackDown is also being taped afterwards. Which stars on the blue brand will cross over to Raw tonight to make things a little more interesting? Wait a minute, isn’t Solo Sikoa technically still on the SmackDown roster? Could very tall United States Champion Baron Corbin show up to join Big Cass in feeding their big boots to Je’Von? – Danhausen needs someone new to curse and humiliate.
