Xavier Woods' hit draws criticism during Bears-Titans joint practice

Summary

During a joint practice on August 27 in Nashville, Chicago Bears safety Xavier Woods was criticized for a 'cheap' hit on Tennessee Titans wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson. The hit led to increased tensions on the field, drawing penalties and prompting Titans head coach Robert Saleh to label the action as 'cheap.' Woods, who has a chance to start at free safety for the Bears in the upcoming season after injuries affected the team's depth chart, may need to adjust his aggressive play in practice to avoid future penalties. The Bears open their season against the Carolina Panthers on September 13.
