Angelo State University hires Nathan Clawson as rodeo assistant coach

Angelo State University announced on Thursday the hiring of Nathan Clawson as the rodeo team's assistant coach. Clawson, a former team member who competed in the Lone Star Region, will also serve as the inaugural arena facilities manager for the ASU Rodeo Complex at the San Angelo Fairgrounds. Head coach Casey Sisk noted that the appointment allows for more one-on-one coaching and provides necessary support for the growing team's training, livestock care, and facility maintenance. Clawson previously competed for South Plains College and assisted with the university's inaugural College Rodeo held last fall. He intends to use his experience to assist student-athletes with both academic and athletic goals. The university currently has ongoing renovation and improvement projects at the rodeo complex.
