Area football teams prepare for league play beginning in week 4

High school football programs across the region are entering league play this week as the first three games of the season conclude. Lancaster remains winless at 0-3 but looks to reset its campaign as it transitions into Ohio Capital Conference-Buckeye Division competition. The Golden Gales travel to Teays Valley following a narrow 15-10 loss to Marysville last week. Elsewhere, Fairfield Union enters its matchup against Logan Elm riding momentum from back-to-back victories, including a 47-13 win over Lakewood. The Falcons have recorded 326 passing yards and 236 rushing yards through three weeks. League schedules begin for all nine area teams as coaches aim to establish positioning within their respective divisions.
