Arizona State volleyball hosts home opener at Desert Financial Arena

No. 7 Arizona State volleyball returns to Tempe to host the three-match Snyder-Park Classic at Desert Financial Arena starting Thursday, Sept. 10. The Sun Devils hold a 5-1 record following a six-match road stretch that included victories against then-No. 2 Texas and then-No. 14 Minnesota. Junior outside hitter Una Vajagic leads the team with 73 kills and 85 total points heading into the home debut for the roster's 10 new players. After the opening match against UC Davis, Arizona State faces No. 24 Oregon on Friday and San Diego on Saturday. The team does not return to its home court until an Oct. 4 matchup against Big 12 opponent Iowa State. In other news, Arizona State forward McKinna Brackens has been selected to the Team USA 3x3 U23 squad for the upcoming FIBA World Cup in China.
