Barcelona signs Hamza Abdelkarim with potential costs exceeding €5 million

Summary

Barcelona has secured 18-year-old attacking talent Hamza Abdelkarim from Al Ahly. Despite not yet appearing this season, there is optimism surrounding his future contributions, particularly as other options have not materialized. After an initial six-month loan for no fee, Barcelona has activated a €1.5 million purchase option. The total cost could exceed €5 million based on performance-related metrics, including match appearances and goals. With current players performing well in the absence of a traditional center-forward, Hamza may have to wait for opportunities amidst a competitive squad.
