Ben Roethlisberger visits Acrisure Stadium for Miami and Pitt football game

Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returned to Acrisure Stadium on Saturday to watch his alma mater, Miami University, play the Pitt Panthers. Roethlisberger, who spent his professional career in Pittsburgh after being drafted in 2004, maintained a strong connection to his collegiate program throughout his career. During his time at Miami, he established school records with 84 touchdown passes and led the RedHawks to a 13-1 record in 2003. Although Miami faced a challenging game against Pitt, the visit allowed the retired quarterback to observe the program that served as the launching point for his professional career. Roethlisberger remains a prominent figure in Miami team history, and the university previously retired his No. 7 jersey in recognition of his performance.
