Bengals lead Buccaneers 24-10 at halftime after three early turnovers

The Cincinnati Bengals hold a 24-10 lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at halftime in their season opener. Tampa Bay sustained three consecutive drives that ended in fumbles, allowing Cincinnati to pull ahead. Bengals linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. returned a Baker Mayfield fumble 27 yards for a touchdown, while Bryan Cook recovered a second Mayfield fumble and a separate fumble forced from Bucky Irving. Offensively, Joe Burrow completed 14 of 20 passes for 133 yards and a score to Mike Gesicki, while Chase Brown added a rushing touchdown. Tampa Bay finally reached the end zone on a 10-yard run by Irving with less than two minutes remaining in the half. The Bengals outgained the Buccaneers 183 to 167 total yards through the first two quarters of play.
