Bergen Catholic defeats St. Joseph’s Prep 33-3 in non-league football

Bergen Catholic rebounded from an early-season slump to secure a 33-3 victory over St. Joseph’s Prep on September 12. The Crusaders defense, which struggled in its first two games, limited the Pennsylvania program to a single first-quarter field goal. Junior quarterback Trey Tagliaferri led the offense by completing 20 of 28 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Bryan Porter contributed to the scoring by catching one touchdown pass and rushing for two more. The win marks the first victory of the season for Bergen Catholic, moving the team's record to 1-2. Coach Vito Campanile credited the team’s defensive discipline and improved fundamentals for the turnaround against a nationally recognized opponent.
