Breiden Fehoko alleges Kyle Van Noy prioritized personal stats over team success

Former Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko recently accused his former teammate Kyle Van Noy of rooting against the team during the 2022 NFL season. On his podcast, Fehoko claimed that Van Noy was frustrated by a lack of playing time early in the year and focused primarily on his personal stats and contract incentives. According to Fehoko, Van Noy struggled to beat out linebackers Drew Tranquill and Kenneth Murray for a starting position before shifting to an edge rusher role. Van Noy’s workload increased mid-season following an injury to Joey Bosa, eventually leading to 734 defensive snaps. Fehoko characterized his former teammate as a fake locker room presence who prioritized individual achievements. Van Noy is currently entering his 13th NFL season with the Minnesota Vikings after playing for several franchises including the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins.
