Brian Harris named new baseball coach at Father Ryan High School

Father Ryan has appointed former Vanderbilt baseball star Brian Harris as its new TSSAA baseball coach. The announcement was made on June 16 following the retirement of Mike Mascari, who coached for 18 seasons. Harris, a standout shortstop at Vanderbilt from 2006 to 2010, expresses gratitude for the opportunity to lead the program and emphasizes the alignment of his values with those of Father Ryan. He previously served as an assistant coach at the University of Illinois Chicago and Tulane, and recently ran a youth travel baseball program in Nashville. Athletic director Ann Mullins highlighted Harris's experience and passion as vital for continuing the legacy established by Mascari.
