Brock Clayton transfers to Southern Miss baseball from Northwest Florida

Catcher and outfielder Brock Clayton announced his transfer to Southern Miss on June 15. The 6-foot-3 redshirt sophomore previously played at Northwest Florida State College, where he had a.353 batting average and hit nine home runs. Clayton was originally committed to South Carolina before reopening his recruitment. He joins fellow transfer commits, including Drew Harrison, Cannon Peery, and Cade Baker, in Southern Miss's 2026 transfer class. Several players from Southern Miss have opted to transfer from the program as well.
