Cathedral Prep and Seneca athletes win first District 10 weekly polls

Tucker Palotas of Cathedral Prep, Peyton Rodgers of Cathedral Prep, and Josiah Zasada of Seneca received the most votes in the initial Erie Times-News Seaway Window and AHN Sports Medicine athlete of the week polls for the fall season. Palotas secured the top spot among football nominees with 49 votes following his 31-yard fumble return for a touchdown. In the female athlete poll, soccer recruit Rodgers claimed victory with seven votes, while soccer player Zasada earned the male athlete honors with four votes. These polls will continue weekly through early November. Fans are encouraged to submit nominees for upcoming ballots by emailing sports@timesnews.com with specific performance accomplishments.
