Chaminade Julienne wins first state championship in track and field

Chaminade Julienne secured its first team title at the OHSAA State Track and Field Championships held on June 6-7 in Columbus. The team, primarily composed of juniors, amassed a total of 44 points in Division II. Claire Downer led with four podium finishes, including second-place results in the high jump and long jump. The school’s achievement follows a successful indoor season where multiple athletes also excelled. The team, motivated by the success of the girls basketball program, is expected to return strong next year as it features no seniors from this season's competition.
