Circleville shuts out Amanda-Clearcreek in Mid-State League football

Circleville opened Mid-State League play with a 21-0 victory over Amanda-Clearcreek on Friday, September 11, at The Pit. Ray Ezell accounted for all three touchdowns for the Tigers, who led 14-0 by halftime. Amanda-Clearcreek struggled to find offensive momentum throughout the contest, with a potential scoring drive stalled by a fumble and another effort halted by a pair of blocked field goals. While the Aces' defense held the Tigers to seven points in the second half, the team was unable to break onto the scoreboard. Amanda-Clearcreek remains winless on the season as the team prepares to face Hamilton Township on September 18. Circleville moved to 3-1 overall following the shutout.
