Philo defeats Tri-Valley 31-29 on final play at Sam Hatfield Stadium

Philo secured a 31-29 victory against Tri-Valley on Friday night at Sam Hatfield Stadium with a touchdown on an untimed down. Audie Buchanan connected with Rusty Trout for a 15-yard touchdown pass to end the game following a pass interference penalty in the end zone. The victory marks only the second win for the Electrics against their Muskingum Valley League Big School rival in the last 22 meetings. Slade Sprankle led the Philo offense with 269 rushing yards and two touchdowns, including a 48-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter. Tri-Valley held a 29-25 lead in the final minute after a Leevi Wade touchdown, but Philo drove the length of the field to finish the game.
