Clarkstown South football defeats Rye in 35-28 victory

Clarkstown South secured a 35-28 win over visiting Rye on September 10. The game remained tied 21-21 entering the final quarter of play. Landon Van Etten led the Clarkstown South offense with four touchdowns, including the decisive 34-yard run with 5:14 remaining. Earlier in the fourth quarter, Frankie Brennan connected with Christian Termine for a 52-yard screen pass that briefly put the Vikings ahead. Rye responded to tie the score at 28-28 after Charlie Brady threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Luke Denvir. Clarkstown South continues its season against Harrison on September 17. Rye faces Eastchester the following day on September 18.
