Columbus Clippers score twelve runs and Akron RubberDucks fall to Altoona Curve

The Columbus Clippers secured a 12-3 victory against the Louisville Bats on Friday night. Columbus utilized a balanced offensive performance, recording fourteen hits and eight walks throughout the contest. Trent Denholm earned the win for the Clippers, pitching four innings in relief of Austin Peterson and Shawn Armstrong. In Double-A action, the Akron RubberDucks lost to the Altoona Curve 4-2 after a late-game rally. Akron starter Rafe Schlesinger provided 6.1 scoreless innings before the Altoona offense erased a 2-0 deficit with a grand slam in the eighth inning. Michael Kennedy was credited with the loss for Akron after surrendering the deciding runs.
