Commanders assign new jersey numbers to Stefon Diggs and other players

The Washington Commanders confirmed updated jersey numbers for several players following the finalization of the team's 53-man roster on Sunday. Stefon Diggs is officially assigned No. 3, a number he had previously worn during practice sessions while the team awaited final roster decisions. The move follows the release of safety Will Harris, who had worn the number since last season. Additionally, cornerbacks Rasul Douglas and Fabian Moreau received new numbers. Douglas will wear No. 29, shifting from the No. 31 he donned during training camp. Moreau will move to No. 24, moving away from the No. 30 he utilized throughout the summer. The team is currently preparing for its regular-season opener scheduled for September 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
