Cranston West defeats West Warwick 42-6 in season opener

Cranston West opened its season with a 42-6 victory over West Warwick at Orabone Stadium on Thursday. Quarterback Jonathan Leroux threw three touchdown passes in the first half to establish a commanding 28-6 lead for the Falcons. Ariel Ochoa added a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown, while Mehkhai Taylor and Dillon Blessington contributed rushing scores in the second half. West Warwick's only points came on a 25-yard touchdown run by Nick Andruchow before halftime. The victory marks the first win of the season for Cranston West. The Falcons prepare for a Division I game against Barrington next week, while West Warwick visits Burrillville for its next contest.
