Dalton sweeps Hillsdale to secure sole possession of WCAL lead

The Dalton Bulldogs moved to 7-0 on the season with a 25-23, 27-25, 25-21 victory over Hillsdale in Jeromesville on Tuesday. Despite falling behind early in the first and second sets, Dalton rallied to hand the Falcons their first loss of the year. Jaedyn Yoder finished the match with back-to-back kills, while Sara Geibel and Payton Lehman also provided late-set scoring to help secure the result. The win establishes Dalton as the conference leader after entering the week as one of two undefeated teams in the WCAL. Hillsdale coach Matti Willeke stated that her team plans to use the loss to address conditioning and consistency for the remainder of the season. The two teams are scheduled to meet again for a rematch on October 8th.
