DeLand and Spruce Creek take titles at Record Breaker swim meet

DeLand captured its sixth consecutive overall team title at the Record Breaker Invitational on September 12 at the Port Orange YMCA. The Bulldogs finished with 1,004 combined points to secure the boys championship, while Spruce Creek placed first in the girls standings. Spruce Creek collected five girls event wins, including two relay victories, to end a multi-year drought for the title. Flagler Palm Coast finished third in the overall combined standings, bolstered by individual wins from Sammy Cimbala and Alexander Rudik. The event serves as a significant precursor to the Five Star meet, which is scheduled for October 3. DeLand also finished second in the girls leaderboard, maintaining a competitive presence across both gender categories.
