Denver Broncos keep Dallen Bentley on roster over Justin Joly

The Denver Broncos selected rookie tight end Dallen Bentley for the 53-man roster following training camp. Bentley, a seventh-round draft pick, secured the spot over Justin Joly, who was drafted in the fifth round by the organization. Staff opted for Bentley based on performance throughout the summer rather than draft status. Veteran tight end Evan Engram praised Bentley's performance, noting the difficulty of the offense for a rookie player. Engram plans to mentor the first-year tight end as the season progresses. Following his release from Denver, Joly was claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins, which precludes his return to the Broncos practice squad.
