Fairfield Union cross country teams finish first in Division III at Kiwanis Invitational

The Fairfield Union boys’ and girls’ cross country teams swept the Division III top spots at the Kiwanis Invitational. The Lady Falcons finished second overall among 20 teams, led by a third-place individual finish from Sadie Schultz in 19:48.4. On the boys’ side, the Falcons also placed second overall out of 20 teams, with Connor Runkle securing second place in 15:59.7. Elsewhere, the Liberty Union teams competed at the same meet on September 5, with the girls placing 8th and the boys 14th. Additionally, Fisher Catholic runners participated in the Vinton County Invitational on September 5, where the Irish girls earned third place and the boys finished 12th. Individual performances across the local schools provided a benchmark for runners early in the season.
