San Francisco Giants outfielder Bo Davidson earned Pacific Coast League Player of the Month honors for August after recording seven home runs, 10 doubles, and 28 RBIs. The 24-year-old prospect, currently playing for Triple-A Sacramento, posted a.323 average during the month despite beginning the period with an 0-for-15 stretch. Davidson has accumulated 26 home runs and 86 RBIs across Double-A and Triple-A levels this season. President of Baseball Operations Buster Posey noted that the team continues to evaluate the outfielder for a potential roster move. The Giants must decide whether to add Davidson to the 40-man roster before the end of the season to protect him from Rule 5 eligibility.
