Gretchen Idema Hughes and Tom Jansa to join SDGA Hall of Fame

Gretchen Idema Hughes and Tom Jansa from Sioux Falls are set to be inducted into the South Dakota Golf Association Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The ceremony will take place at The Country Club of Sioux Falls during the SDGA annual banquet, featuring a social hour and dinner, concluding with the induction program. Hughes has a notable history in South Dakota golf, winning the SDGA Women’s Amateur Championship multiple times. Jansa, a former caddy turned PGA Professional, has made significant contributions to promoting golf in South Dakota for over three decades. His coaching at O’Gorman High School has led to seven state championships.
