Leila Lacan’s late free throws put the Sun ahead by three points, and despite Phoenix's struggles at the free-throw line, they finished the game strong. The Mercury's Plum scored a team-high 25 points. Connecticut's next game is against Atlanta on August 10, while Phoenix will face Washington on August 9.
