Grizzlies and Thunder complete trade during 2026 NBA Draft

The Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder executed the first trade of the 2026 NBA Draft on June 24. The Grizzlies selected Iowa guard Bennett Stirtz with the No. 16 pick, then traded his rights to the Thunder. In return, Memphis received the No. 17 pick and two second-round picks from Oklahoma City. Shortly after, the Grizzlies traded down again, sending the No. 17 pick to the Detroit Pistons for three second-round picks and the No. 21 overall pick. The Pistons used the 17th pick to select Stanford guard Ebuka Okorie, while the Grizzlies gained five additional second-round picks through their trades.
