Hawaii men’s volleyball assistant coach Chad Giesseman departs the program

College SportsLongtime Hawaii men’s volleyball assistant coach Chad Giesseman has stepped down from his position. Giesseman joined the program in 2018 as a volunteer assistant and served on the staff for nine seasons. During his tenure, he contributed to three national championships, four Big West titles, and six NCAA Final Four appearances. He is leaving the university program to devote his time to HiBred VBC, a volleyball club he founded last year that currently includes more than 200 members across 18 teams. In separate news, the Pacific West Conference named Chaminade senior libero Kyra Pagud as its Defender of the Week. The Moanalua alumna earned the honor after averaging 4.61 digs per set during the Hawai‘i-Alaska Challenge and the Central Washington Invitational.
