High school football teams post results across local matchups

Multiple high school football teams across the region played contests between September 4 and September 5. North Augusta improved its record to 2-1 following a win against Greenwood, while Fox Creek secured its first victory of the season by defeating Dixie 49-20. South Aiken remains undefeated at 3-0 after a 30-20 road win over Brookland-Cayce, led by two touchdown passes from Tommy Burns and 103 rushing yards from Drelyn Brown. In other games, Chapin beat Aiken 24-21, Pelion defeated Ridge Spring-Monetta 56-26, and Blackville-Hilda moved to 3-0 by shutting out Whale Branch 40-0. Hampton County topped Silver Bluff 47-20, and Wagener-Salley inaugurated its new J.O. Brown Stadium with a 42-8 win against Ninety Six. Teams now look ahead to games scheduled for September 11.
