Hornets trade LaMelo Ball to Timberwolves for Reid and draft picks

The Charlotte Hornets have traded star guard LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves. In return, the Hornets receive Naz Reid, a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps from 2028 to 2030, and three second-round picks in 2029, 2032, and 2033. This trade comes after the Hornets showed signs of improvement following a rough start last season, eventually contending for a playoff spot. With Ball's departure, the Hornets will rely on Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller to lead the team moving forward.
