India set to face Japan in historic T20I match in Sano

India and Japan will compete in a historic T20I match at the Sano International Cricket Ground on September 22, marking their first face-off at the senior international level. India, the reigning T20 World Cup champions, will be led by Shreyas Iyer, while Japan is captained by Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming. Japan recently missed out on T20 World Cup qualification, losing to the UAE, but aims to build its cricketing profile in this match. This game also celebrates 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Japan has chosen a squad focused on continuity ahead of the upcoming Asian Games, allowing them to align their strategies.
