Jake Bauers attracts interest in free agency, Yankees not linked

Summary

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jake Bauers may receive attention from several teams after an impressive 2026 season, but the New York Yankees are not currently among those interested. Boasting a.266 batting average and 26 home runs, Bauers helped lead the Brewers to a World Series title. His potential fits with teams like the New York Mets, Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres, and Arizona Diamondbacks, while a return to Milwaukee is also possible. Given the Yankees' need for offensive options, it remains unclear if they might pursue him despite their absence from early rumors.
