LaMelo Ball earns high marks in player grades for Hornets

LaMelo Ball played in 72 games during the 2025-26 season for the Charlotte Hornets, showcasing his skills as a key player. He averaged 20.1 points, 7.1 assists, and improved his free-throw percentage to a career-high of 89.9%. Ball ranked second in the league for 3-pointers made with 272 and earned All-NBA votes for the first time. Despite a drop in scoring average, his playmaking and contributions as a secondary scorer alongside teammates Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel highlighted his importance to the team. He is eligible for a two-year max extension this summer, with three years remaining on his current deal.
