Lancaster football earns first win of season against Teays Valley

Lancaster defeated Teays Valley 6-0 on September 11 in an Ohio Capital Conference-Buckeye Division football game. Playing on the road, the Golden Gales secured their first victory of the season despite losing starting quarterback Brody Broeckel to injury during the first quarter. Sophomore quarterback Carter Carlisle replaced him, throwing the game's only touchdown on a 10-yard pass to JoJo Caldwell. The Lancaster defense held the Vikings to 157 total yards and sealed the victory with a late interception by Isaac Sweatte. This performance marked the first win for first-year head coach Jeremy McKinney. Lancaster, which previously held an 0-3 record, will host Groveport on September 18.
