Lansing Lugnuts pitcher Ryan Magdic receives Midwest League honors and promotion

Ryan Magdic of the Lansing Lugnuts has been named the Midwest League's pitcher of the week following a strong performance in a recent game against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. In his most recent outing on June 12, Magdic struck out nine batters and allowed three hits and just one run over seven innings during an 8-4 victory. This award comes as Magdic, who holds a season record of 2-2 with a 3.22 ERA, is promoted to Double-A Midland on June 16. Lansing has a 29-33 record after their series win against Cedar Rapids and will start a six-game road series against the West Michigan Whitecaps on the same day.
