LSU soccer wraps up exhibition play with draw and loss ahead of opener

The #16 LSU women's soccer team concluded their exhibition schedule with a 1-1 draw against Alabama on August 5 and a 3-2 loss to UNC Wilmington on August 8. In the Alabama match, LSU took an early lead with a goal by Ava Galligan, but Alabama equalized in the second half and dominated with six shots on goal compared to LSU's two. Against UNCW, LSU's two goals came from freshmen, but the team struggled to convert chances. The Tigers will prepare for their season opener against #18 Wake Forest on August 12, where they seek their first victory against the Demon Deacons in program history, having lost the last three meetings.
