Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff expressed concerns over Ferrari's ability to continuously introduce upgrades to its SF-26, particularly in light of F1's budget cap. Following the recent Austrian Grand Prix, he noted that the Scuderia has rolled out numerous improvements, including a new engine specification. Wolff pointed out that in his view, Ferrari should be nearing the limit of its budget given the frequency and scale of their enhancements. He expects that by the season's end, the ability of Ferrari to maintain such an upgrade pace will diminish. Other teams, including Mercedes, have struggled to implement similar changes due to tighter budget constraints, while more substantial changes have been observed sporadically among competitors such as Red Bull and McLaren.
