Missouri Southern sweeps William Jewell at the Gorilla Classic

Missouri Southern State swept William Jewell College in volleyball action Thursday night in Pittsburg, Kansas. The victory came following a 3-0 loss for the Lions against Arkansas Tech earlier in the day. Missouri Southern limited the Cardinals to under 20 points in two of the three sets played. Addysen Alvis led the Lions with 10 kills, while Grace Gardner added nine in the win. This result represents the team's second sweep of the Gorilla Classic, having previously defeated Southwestern Oklahoma State on Wednesday night. The Lions continue competition in the tournament on Friday with a match scheduled against Truman State at 4:30 p.m.
