Ohio State football secures first commitment for 2029 recruiting class

Austin Miller, a 15-year-old wide receiver from Southern California, has verbally committed to Ohio State. He announced his commitment on June 22 after a visit to the campus. Miller, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 200 pounds, was noted for his standout freshman season at Bellflower High School. He caught 35 passes for 609 yards and eight touchdowns while also rushing for 883 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025. He becomes the Buckeyes' first commitment for the 2029 class since the hiring of Cortez Hankton, who replaced Brian Hartline as their position coach.
