Oklahoma City Thunder select Aday Mara and Bennett Stirtz in NBA draft

The Oklahoma City Thunder made two first-round selections in the 2026 NBA draft, choosing Aday Mara with the No. 12 pick and Bennett Stirtz at No. 16. Mara, a 7-foot-3 center from Michigan, averaged 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds last season. Stirtz, a guard from Iowa, recorded 19.8 points and 4.4 assists per game. The Thunder acquired the latter pick in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, sending their No. 17 pick along with two future second-rounders to move up. These selections aim to strengthen the team's roster for both immediate and future needs.
