PGA Tour requests final bids for remaining Championship Series events

The PGA Tour has requested final proposals from 14 prospective partners for four remaining spots in its reimagined Championship Series. These entities have until September 30 to submit bids, which are expected to exceed $30 million annually. This series is slated to begin in 2028 and will include the major championships and The Players Championship. The tour has already identified two of the six total spots in the upper-tier schedule, and it intends to announce the full 2028 lineup on February 22. Tour CEO Brian Rolapp is scheduled to address media on September 15, following a meeting of the circuit's policy boards to determine eligibility criteria for both the Championship and Challenger Series.
