Michelle Xing wins Annika Intercollegiate title with record-tying final round

UCLA freshman Michelle Xing secured individual medalist honors at the Annika Intercollegiate held at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Xing finished the tournament with a 7-under 65 in her final round, matching the UCLA freshman record for a single round. Entering the day trailing Wake Forest junior Chloe Kovelesky by five strokes, Xing carded eight birdies to overcome the deficit and finish one shot ahead. In the team competition, Wake Forest earned its second consecutive victory at the event, finishing at 24 under par. The Demon Deacons maintained a 10-shot lead over USC to take the title, with Havanna Torstensson and Macy Pate finishing in the top five for the team. Only 10 participants finished the week under par at the Royal Golf Club course.
