Georgia Tech wins Folds of Honor Collegiate as Max Emberson takes individual title

The Georgia Tech men's golf team secured the Folds of Honor Collegiate title on Wednesday at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan. The victory marked the first win for the program under new head coach Ryan Hybl, who recently joined the team after seventeen seasons at the University of Oklahoma. Freshman Max Emberson led the Yellow Jackets to an 18-under finish, claiming medalist honors in his collegiate debut. Emberson finished the tournament at 4-under par, two shots ahead of Texas junior Daniel Bennett, to become the first men's player to win the event wire-to-wire. The team title saw Georgia Tech finish five strokes clear of Notre Dame and Texas. In the women's tournament, Florida State secured the team title by a one-stroke margin over Texas A&M, while Duke freshman Mia Hammond and Florida State's Haruhi Nakatani shared medalist honors.
