Portland defeats Lansing Sexton in conference football opener

Portland secured a 28-13 victory over Lansing Sexton on Wednesday to open conference play. Running back Carson Spenski led the Portland offense with over 100 rushing yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown. Offensive lineman Tristan Pohl contributed a unique 14-yard scoring play after recovering a bobbled snap in the second quarter. Defensively, Evan Pung and Liam Wolfe registered two sacks each, while Tayin Curtis intercepted a pass in the end zone to prevent a Lansing Sexton equalizer before halftime. Lansing Sexton managed a final scoring drive with a 16-yard touchdown pass from Abdual Carter-Foreman to Willie Brown. Portland continues its CAAC White winning streak and prepares for a matchup against Olivet next week.
