Prattville players CJ Brown and Olivia Rossi win local athlete honors

The Montgomery Advertiser announced the results of its athlete of the week poll for the period of August 31 through September 4. Prattville high school football player CJ Brown led the boys category, securing 2,466 votes to finish ahead of Pike Road athlete Tavaris Capours. In the girls category, Prattville Christian Academy volleyball player Olivia Rossi topped the voting with 2,033 votes, followed by teammate Maren Diefenderfer. The poll invited readers to cast votes between September 6 and September 10 to recognize top performers from the AHSAA football season and regional volleyball competitions. Nominations for these weekly honors are provided by high school coaches and team statisticians through the news organization. The Vance Law Firm presented the recognition program, which highlights standout individual efforts across local high school sports.
