Richmond Hill defeats Ware County with final-play touchdown return

Richmond Hill moved to 4-0 on the season with a 13-7 victory at Ware County on Friday night. The game ended when linebacker Shane Tucker blocked a 31-yard field goal attempt by the Gators in the closing seconds. Eli Grant recovered the loose ball and returned it 96 yards for a touchdown as time expired to secure the win. Elsewhere, heavy thunderstorms disrupted the regional schedule, causing the cancellation of the Bethesda Academy game against Trinity Collegiate and delaying the kickoff between Beach and Long County. In other results, Ambassador Christian defeated Calvary Day 28-14, while Porter-Gaud held off Savannah Country Day 20-17. Richmond Hill prepares to host Wando on September 18.
