Rutgers football finalizes special teams roster ahead of season start

Rutgers football has set its special teams personnel as the team prepares to open the upcoming season in four days. Fifth-year senior Jai Patel returns as the kicker after leading the team in scoring last season and earning honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. Jakob Anderson remains the punter, supported by returning long snapper Michael O’Connor, who helped the unit maintain a high net punting average last year. Jack Scullion continues his role as the kickoff specialist, having recorded 33 touchbacks last season.
