San Pedro defeats Bell in high school football game on unmowed field

San Pedro improved to 4-0 on Friday night with a 49-7 victory over Bell. The contest took place on a field with thick, unmowed grass that complicated play for both teams throughout the evening. Pirates quarterback Seth Solorio led the offense by completing 13 of 17 passes for 303 yards and four touchdowns, including two scoring throws to Braeden Villegas. Bell scored its only touchdown on a 15-yard reception by Aaron Hernandez during the first quarter.
